International Farriery Research Symposium 2022

Event date: 10th September 2022 - 24th September 2022

The Equine Documentalist – the equine podiatry scientist and inspirational horse welfare educator – Yogi Sharp DipWcf BSc(Hons), in collaboration with the most known farriers and podiatrists from all around the globe, brings you the first ever International Farriery Research Symposium 2022. The Symposium is aimed at horse owners, farriers, veterinarians, physiotherapists, and academics. Profits will go toward future research.

The online event starts on Saturday 10 September 2022 and will last 2 weeks. During that time, participants will be invited to join 20 unique lectures and for most a brief live Q&A session after the talk. From the lectures, you’ll learn about how the body mass and height influence conformation and symmetry, what are the effects of various shoe clip applications on the hoof wall, how hoof balance affects and is affected by equine posture, what are the modern measuring systems useful to farriers and much more! Some of the lectures will be pre-recorded, and others will be live – most of them will be available to watch again after the event. CPD (Continuing Education) certificates with hours of attendance will be available.

The lineup of speakers is Patrick Reilly Grad Dip ERL, Raul J.
