Emergency First Aid is an essential skill that you don’t realise you’re missing until you need it. By undertaking first aid training, you’ll be prepared for a wide range of situations and be able to help others in need. Being able to administer first aid quickly means you’re able to preserve life, prevent a person’s condition from getting worse and increase their chances of recovery. Knowing first aid could mean the difference between life and death.

This course covers areas including:

Choking
Catastrophic bleeding
Shock
Smaller cuts
Burns
Managing an unconscious casualty
CPR
Use of a defibrillator

This course is led by Chris Swindale. Chris is a physiotherapist with nearly 20 years experience working in a number of settings including intensive care, hospital wards, community settings and working professional and amateur sport. Chris has been doing first aid for over 30 years, and is a Nuco registered instructor for first aid.
