Hereford & Ludlow TTFA Course
2nd March, 3rd March, 20th April 2018.
Certificate in Education and Training (12 University Credits)
The course is set up for ATFs to come together to gain the skills to support their apprentices whilst they are in their employment. This course is ideal for the ATF who will gain an initial teacher training qualification. The group will consist of you and other ATFs who will focus on the training of Farriery apprentices. The course is validated by the University of Warwick working in Partnership with the Herefordshire and Ludlow College.
This programme runs over three days – the first two days are spent in the classroom covering subjects such as barriers to learning, behaviour and assessment. Interwoven within the two days is dedicated specialist Farriery input. Written assignments for the Certificate make up the bulk of the assessments along with a short presentation and a mini teaching session to your peers.
The third day is spent taking part and observing mini teaching sessions.
The course will all take place in a supportive atmosphere that will enhance, challenge and motivate your own development. It is thought provoking and enjoyable – a sense of humour is a must!
