Master & Apprentice Competition, HCT
The (Rearranged) Sixteenth Master and Apprentice Shoeing and Shoemaking Competition and Open Day and Student/Apprentice Blacksmithing.
All entrants for the November 09 competition have a right of entry for March 27th 2010 if they wish to take part. Apprentices will be eligible for the class in which they were entered in November 2009. Will all competitors who wish to take part in the re-arranged competition please reapply in order that we may be sure of numbers and offer spaces to farriers who may have previously been unsuccessful.

Giessen Farrier Clinic
In 2010 we are planning an apprentice special additionally to our regular farrier clinic. It will start on Thursday 8th of April with shoe making and lectures. On Friday 9th of April we will have a “International Friendship Competition” for apprentices and young farriers. On Saturday we have the farrier clinic like every year with (german) lectures and practical parts and a nice party at night.

NAFBAE Farrier Focus and Mustad 'Champion of Champions'
NAFBAE Farrier Focus Day, Saturday 8th May 2010 Open to ALL registered farriers and apprentices, entrance free of charge.
Event consists of a mixture of lectures by World renowned speakers Professor John Reilly and Mark Caldwell, Demonstrations by World Champions Grant Moon and Steven Beane and workshops.
Plus the 'Mustad Champion of Champions Competition - invitation event open to World Champions. Winner to receive a trophy and £5000 donated to his nominated Charity, all other competitors to receive £250.00 for their nominated charities. 11 confirmed entrants to date.
Competition is 70 minutes to make and fit one shoe to foot plus make one specimen shoe. |
